The common conventions of a normal music video are the following:
- Relationship between the lyrics and the visuals
- Relationship between the music and the visuals
- Close ups of the artist/s and focus on them
- Often cases of Voyuerism
- Often cases of Intertextuality
- Variety of locations
The conventions of our genre, Grime, were simplistic however it was key that we followed the conventions.
We interviewed many to see what they would expect to see in a grime video. These are the key things everyone said.
